Ecolab Transforms With a Fully Interactive Remote Meeting Experience
When Ecolab decided to transform its existing 19th floor conference room into a fully interactive remote meeting experience, its Facilities Manager, David Bergstrom, contacted Alpha Video and consulted with Corporate Solutions Specialist Joel Fusco. Fusco and the Alpha Video engineering and installation teams designed a technologically advanced conference room for Ecolab that included Polycom video and audio conferencing, a Panasonic 735 projector, Sony cameras, Extron switchers and enhanced usability through a Crestron touch-screen control panel.
When Ecolab’s executive management experienced the state-of-the-art technology in the 19th floor conference room, they were impressed. So much so that a few months later, Alpha was again consulted when Ecolab decided to duplicate the exact technology for its private executive boardroom on the top floor of its headquarters in downtown Saint Paul, MN.
The 19th floor, which houses the President, CEO and CFO of Ecolab had no remote meeting capabilities in its executive boardroom – only media presentation equipment. Executives at the company wanted to upgrade the room in order to hold video conference meetings with the company’s international division. Alpha installed Polycom video and audio conferencing, Sony cameras, Extron switchers and a Crestron touch-screen control panel.
“Meeting with [Ecolab employees in] Dusseldorf [Germany] or Japan is so much easier now,” said Bergstrom. “Coming into this room, flipping a few switches and having the meeting take place here saves an incredible amount of time and money.”
Bergstrom knew of Alpha Video, having worked with them in the past through his former employer Macallister College. “I knew Alpha would design the perfect solutions for us,” said Bergstrom. “I also knew they wouldn’t try to sell us equipment we didn’t need. That gave me confidence in choosing them for our applications.”
