Alpha Video’s Rental Services Group Gets Big & Rich
Legendary country music duo utilizes Alpha for unique made-for-TV performance
Minneapolis, MN, May 31, 2007 – Alpha Video’s Rental Services Group has announced the completion of a notable made-for-TV performance at Myth Nightclub in St. Paul, Minnesota. Its visual display services were utilized for a unique made-for-TV performance, used as part of a documentary on the popular country music duo, Big & Rich.
Myth Nightclub, one of the Mid-west’s most prestigious entertainment venues, has over 36,000 square feet of world-class production space for live concerts, DJ’s and gatherings. It was recently the home of a documentary being made for the Great American Country Channel (GAC), on Big & Rich, who are currently among country music’s most influential bands with several albums at the top of the Billboard National and Country Music Charts.
Alpha Video was the sole visual equipment provider for the performance, providing a variety of equipment to showcase the event. Included were six cameras (three Sony D50’s and three Sony D35’s), a Sony Anycast switcher, a Panasonic 37” Plasma display, seven DVCAM decks, and a track and dolly system with 60 feet of track. In addition, Alpha set up a video feed to the nightclub’s house video system, giving the club the opportunity to show the performance through their own in-house projectors and large screen monitors.
