Edina City Hall - Edina, MN

Until recently, Edina City Hall did not have the ability to televise its city council meetings to the public. The 50-year old building housed old technology that no longer met the needs of the City's community.  Working with BKV Group architects, Alpha Video provided and installed broadcast and audiovisual systems for a variety of spaces in the City's new Civic Center, including the council chambers studio, control room and a community meeting room.  More info...  

Minnesota Senate - St. Paul, MN

Alpha Video was contracted by the State of Minnesota to provide and install state-of-the-art technology in four senate meeting rooms, as well as in the main senate chambers.  Alpha was also enlisted to completely move and reinstall the senate television services master control room, including Pro-Bel routing.  Installation included the mounting of all camera and robotics, as well as running all of the cables through the 100-year old Minnesota State Capital.  During this project, Alpha took enormous care to make sure it did not impact the aesthetics of the building, which was a stipulation in the contract with the State of Minnesota.  Alpha easily overcame this challenge when installing the cables through the aging building, and also replaced the complete furniture set.  In addition, a substantial amount of custom mill working was also provided in order to complete the project and exceed the expectations of the Minnesota Senate.

City of Minneapolis, MN

Alpha Video was contracted by the City of Minneapolis, MN to provide and install a new multi-format production control room as part of a $2.6 million historic renovation of its city council chambers.  The system design included new camera and switching systems, a new audio system and new presentation systems.  Alpha made certain to make the entire presentation and broadcast systems user-friendly, which afforded the City the capability to control it over the Internet via e-Control or a series of touch panels located throughout the council chambers. 

City of Eagan, MN Phase 1 & 2

Alpha Video was contracted by the City of Eagan to renovate the audio, video and presentation systems for the city council chambers at Eagan City Hall.  The system design included new camera and switching systems, a new audio system and new projection/ presentation systems.  The entire system is controlled via a control system that allows city staff to manage and automate various aspects of a meeting or presentation, while giving the operator full control over the entire system.  Alpha Video completed the project by providing a variety of custom products and services, including the design and manufacture of a custom podium/presentation center and custom interfaces throughout the facility. 

Alpha worked with the City of Eagan on a phase II project to design and integrate the video and presentation systems for Eagan City Hall’s community room.  The room, which acts as a secondary council chambers and meeting facility for various city departments and local Eagan businesses, incorporates the latest in presentation technology.  Alpha created a state-of-the are system design that included a new camera, as well as switching and recording functions that are controlled via a control system.  This design easily allows City staff to control and automate various aspects of a meeting or presentation, while giving the presenter full control over presentation elements. 

MN Air National Guard

For over three years, Alpha Video was contracted by the Minnesota Air National Guard to provide and install a variety of classroom and presentation centers at its Guard Base.  Alpha designed each system with LCD projection, screens, various A/V equipment and control systems.  For its Flight Operations Command Center, Alpha established and installed two front projection units fed by a number of PC’s through a routing system.  A complex multi-zone audio and sound reinforcement system was also installed, giving the National Guard the flexibility to control the entire system through touch panels.  More info...

City of St. Cloud, MN

Alpha Video was contracted by the City of St. Cloud to provide and install a new multi-format production control room, as part of a renovation to its city council chambers.  The system Alpha provided to the City included new camera and switching systems, a new audio system and new presentation systems.  Alpha recognized the importance of making the entire presentation and broadcast systems user friendly for City employees, and provided them with the opportunity to control its systems via the Internet, through e-Control or a by a series of touch panels located throughout the council chambers. 

City of Bloomington, MN

The City contracted Alpha Video to provide and install broadcast and audiovisual systems for the cable access studio and control room.  At the same time, Alpha was asked to provide audiovisual systems in a variety of other spaces throughout the City’s new Civic Plaza, including the council chambers and control room, ten meeting rooms and the police department’s emergency operations center.  The staff at the City of Bloomington was impressed by the state-of-the-art installations, knowing the new technology would help improve productivity.  More info...

City of Lakeville, MN

Alpha Video was contracted by the City of Lakeville to provide and install a new multi-format production control room for their city council chambers. The system design included new camera and switching systems, a new audio system and new presentation systems. The entire presentation and broadcast systems can be controlled via a series of Crestron touch panels located throughout the council chambers.
